BEST OF THE WAPTA

The Wapta Icefields traverse is a classic ski trip in the Canadian Rockies that parallels the Banff Icefields Parkway on the Banff-Jasper route just north of Lake Louise and commences at Bow Lake.

This three-day tour offers glacier travel, panoramic mountain views and the opportunity to climb several peaks in the area- Mt. Gordon, Mt. St. Nicholas, Mt. Rhondda, Mt. Olive, Mt. Collie & Mt.Thompson.

SKIING ABILITY: Intermediate Alpine Skier, capable of skiing most snow conditions carrying a heavy pack.

TERRAIN: Hotel Pick-up ñ 8:00 AM
Drop-off ñ 4:00 PM

PARTICIPATION: Minimum ñ 3, Maximum- 5

COST: $160.00/person/day Cdn. Plus GST.

INCLUDES: Local transportation, avalanche radios/probes, Guide service, food for the traverse, ACC hut accommodation, Park Permits, Group technical equipment.
