Travel on snow & ice is an exciting part of any mountain adventure.

Have fun as you experience the unique dimension that is the world of snow & ice in mountaineering.

Travel the world famous Banff Icefield Parkway to the spectacular Columbia Icefields and begin your glacier travels.

Learn how to traverse and travel a glacier safely, using crampons, ice-axe, ropes, & prussiks. Learn how to do a simple crevasse rescue and self-rescue with an ice-axe. Set up snow -belays and experience glissading.

LEVEL: Introduction

LOCATION: Designated by guide.

TIME: 0700-1900 hrs.

COST: $150.00 Cdn.
Minimum (3) participants

INCLUDES: Lunch, daypack, water-bottle, guide service, climbing ropes, prussik slings, carabiners & other technical equipment.

YOU BRING: Sturdy hiking boots, sunglasses, wind jacket & long pants, warm sweater, hat/toque, snowscreen & gloves.

ADDITIONAL: Snow and Ice Climb Mt. Athabasca 3491m / 11350ft
Must have previously completed "On Snow and Ice Course" and be in good physical condition.
