THE WAPTA

This is a three day classic alpine mountaineering trip that offers varied terrain, panoramic mountain views and the opportunity to climb several peaks of the Wapta Icefields.

LEVEL:	Introduction, no experience required
COST:	$150.00/person/day, plus GST. Includes guiding service and technical equipment. Minimum (3) participants
DAY 1:	Drive to Petyto Lake. Travel Peyto Glacier to hut at 2720m /8300ft En-route, learn basic glacier travel/rope handling techniques. Distance -14km. (8mi), Travel Time 5-7 hrs.
DAY 2:	Depart Peyto Hut, Climb Mt. Rhondda-3000m/10,000ft. Distance - 10 km/6mi, return., Time 5-7 hrs.
DAY 3:	Depart Peyto Hut, travel across Wapta Glacier to Bow Hut Descend to Icefield Parkway. Distance 14km/8mi.
YOU BRING:	A detailed equipment list will be provided to confirmed bookings.
FOOD:	Self-catered or Catered @ $35.00/person/day.
FEES:	Alpine Club of Canada Huts provide accommodation Hut fees are $25.00/prson/night. National Park Permit Fees are:$7.00/person/day.
